When I put a restriction on my palette, lines set the scene.

I had spent years painting and defining my work as vivid, bright,

and eye-catching.

​

Nevertheless, I always built bold lines and high contrast into every theme.

 

At one point, I observed how dedicating time to color theory for my pieces wasn’t the journey I was looking for.

​

I just wanted to observe structures in my mind and record them.

 

Sometimes these visions would have certain hues, but oftentimes they were more like a state of matter that contained any color imaginable.

 

Finding further inspiration in ancestral work, ancient texts, and human conditions facilitated endless inspiration and creativity.

 

Building lines meant building out more of my fantasies.

But I’ll never be able to record them all, let alone color them.

 

So I’m giving the reins to you.
